Waxing – Before and After Care

Before your wax

Skip the razor. For best results, your hair should be ¼ of an inch. If you feel your hair is too long, do not trim. Just come in as you are and we will take care of you!

Have a shower and gently exfoliate before your visit. If you don’t have time, no worries! We’ve got towelettes for you to freshen up at our place!

Stay hydrated! Skip the caffeine and alcohol before your wax.

If you’re worried about discomfort, take an Advil 30 – 40 minutes before your visit.

Avoid lotions and oils prior to your appointment. This creates a barrier between your hair and the wax.

Aftercare

Leave it be! Don’t use any lotions, body wash, or fragrance for 24 hours post wax.

Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, saunas or hot tubs for 48 hours. We also recommend avoiding workouts for 24 hours to reduce sweating and irritation of the area.

After 48 hours, we recommend exfoliating 3+ times per week to keep ingrown hairs at bay. Ask your waxologist about our product recommendations.

Don’t shave between appointments. Consistency is key! Shaving between appointments prolongs the path to sparse regrowth, which is the goal.
